Chapter Ten

I

was happy when my period finally came on. Trent had been trying to get me pregnant and I wasn’t having that. After the night I kicked him out of my house, he called begging for me to take him back. He claimed he would wear condoms but for all I knew, he probably would poke holes in them and I was not taking that chance, so I began ignoring his calls. Sometimes I saw him standing on the corner near his house while I was driving home from work. He finally got the hint and left me alone.

Then there was Anthony that lived a couple of blocks away from me. He moved to Chicago two years ago and had recently moved back to Tampa. My mother was friends with his aunt Joyce so we would go over there and chitchat from time to time. Anthony had always been handsome to me. He had a muscular build because he worked out a lot. He stood about 6’5 and weighed about 230 lbs.

Anthony walked past my house one day as I stood outside watering my mother’s flowers.

“How you doing, Tiffany? Haven’t seen you in a long time.” Anthony was wearing a tight wife beater, showing off his muscular arms and some basketball shorts. He legs were perfectly toned. I just wanted to jump on him but I kept my composure.

“I know, it’s been what, two years? Chicago has done you some good,” I said, eyeing him from head to toe.

“Yeah? You looking pretty damn good yourself.” Anthony licked his lips as if he was LL Cool J. I couldn’t help but blush. Anthony had always looked at me like a little cousin since he was five years older than I was. Now here he was flirting with me. If he made the right moves, I was going to have to give him some pussy.

“Thank you, Anthony,” I said. We talked for a little while before he asked for my number. I gave it to him and told him to call me. He told me that he would and then he started jogging up the street in the direction of his house.

Two days later Anthony called me and asked if he could come over. My mother was still at work and I knew that she wouldn’t be home for at least four more hours. I told him it was okay if he did.

When Anthony came up I was standing outside on my front porch. He came and stood beside me and asked me how my day was. “Overall it was a good day, but I’m looking forward to tomorrow.” I said. Can I kiss you?”Anthony asked. I told him no because I didn’t want my neighbors to see me. I knew that nosey Ms. Reid that lived to the left of us watched the house for my mother when she was at work, but it was two o’clock in the afternoon so it was her nap time. Yes, just as Ms.
